do any of you fellow bikers talk on your iphone and ride at the same time?

i have an iphone and was wondering if any of you guys ever ride and talk on your iphone at the same time using the apple headphones with built in mic on the wire... you know... the ones that come with the iphone... is it possible to talk with those head phones on? or does the wind blowing into the mic when you ride make it impossible for the person on the other end to hear what you are saying??... if this doesnt work, then is there any way to talk on the phone while on a bike.. or is talking on the phone while riding impossible unless you pull over to talk??

what people i know usually do is to stick their phones in with the helmet. It seems more effective. This is obviously as dangerous as any other talking on the phone while riding styles. The best way, stop by the roadside and answer. All the more with the expensive Iphone. Don't want it to drop do ya? hehe

your an idiot its hard enough staying safe out there with the tin tops trying to take ya out every chance they get while there talking on the phone now you want to be on the phone an ride as i said idiot . most of us get out on our bikes to get away from all that eg work phones the family just for the pure enjoyment to ride .stay in your car .

talk thats too boring, i put a widescreen (minimum 32 inch) flatscreen on my handlebars and watch Oprah on it.

Most people in cars can't talk on the phone and drive carefully so I am definitely against doing it on a bike. That also includes listening to an MP3 player. It takes away from focus.

Riding requires ALL of your attention ALL the time. If you choose to distract yourself like that, you'll be splattered on a highway somewhere sometime Mark my words That's just dumb. You're putting your life and everyone else around you's life in danger by doing that. Pull over and talk on the phone and if you don't want to do that, then don't get a bike. I can't wait to see how many bikers rip you a new one for this one You MUST be a squid.

oh dear lord, it'd bad enough having people in cars nearly kill me 'cause they won't get off their phone and now bikers want to talk on the phone too. I'll never be safe Ahh, now that that's out of my system. BMW and a few others make a helmet with a bluetooth headset built so you can talk on the phone while driving a motorcycle. I've made video blogs with my camera phone and used the kind of headset you're talking about. I could hear myself okay when i played it back and i got up to about 70mph, but at that point i heard a lot more wind than i did myself. As long as you're wearing a full face helmet and it's not very windy outside, the people on the other end of the phone should be able to hear you. Though, IMO, taking a hand off of the bars to answer a phone call could easily spell disaster. While i can do it, i won't. I usually put the headset on so that i can hear the phone ring and then just pull over when it's convenient to call the person back.

Yes they make an interface that puts cell phone hands free through stereo system using handlebar intercom buttons. (Gold Wings, HD FLT, BMW LT, Venture)

nobody in there right mind would try to talk on the phone when they are riding. if you need to talk on the phone when you are out riding pull over to do it. much safer thing to do.

never talk while i ride, but to answer your question clip the mic on the mouth piece of the helmet then no wind can get in.
