Itouch is frozen. HELP?

i have a jailbroken itouch and i decided to download this packet that puts the iphone apps on it (weather, stocks, wiggle feature, etc.) i downloaded it from installer and then when i went to the home screen it was loading for like an hour and so i decided to leave it and go to sleep. the next morning i wake up and my ipod is frozen at the main black screen with the white apple on the screen. I've tried turning it off, pressing home, everything. the only thing I don't wanna do is restore(PLEASE DONT MAKE ME RESTORE) i have like 1030810380280 apps and personalized things from installer. i really dont want to lose it. please help?

Well, it seems to me that if you ever want to use your ipod again, you're going to have to restore it. I don't know what else to do. Try plugging it into iTunes or something, and see what happens.

either you have a virus on it or push "Menu" and the middle button at the same time for about 10 seconds or until it turns off.

Thats what you get no offense for jailbreaking itAnyway, have you tried resetting it? Press and hold the sleep/wake button and the circle button for about 10secThen release and wait til the screen goes blank and the apple logo appearsIf that doesn't happen, I don't know what to say sorry.
