DVD to Iphone converter?

I recently got Avex's DVD to iPhone converter, based on some glowing reviews and recomendations. However, I'm finding it to take just under the actual runtime to convert a program. I was under the impressions from the reviews and their website (my 1st and 2nd mistakes) that it was not going to be this slow. Anyone out there USING this specific program, or any other similiar prgram by the the SAME company, am I doing something wrong or missing something, or am I stuck with a slow as molasses converter. Plus, are all other converters simiarilly this slow? Mind you, I like the features and the ease of use for this product.
